|Tour of the Art & Architecture of St. Ignatius Church|
The Stations of the Cross in St. Ignatius Church at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts are in the nave of the church along the north and south walls. The first station is located close to the St. Mary Altar and they progress eastward along the south wall through Station 7. Station 8 is across on the north wall and the move westward, ending with Station 14 close to the St. Joseph Altar. The book The Art and Architecture of St. Ignatius Church describes the stations of the cross as follows:
- "The figures of the Stations of the Cross are carved from basswood in low relief, set against a walnut background, and framed in a gold leaf border. To focus attention on the meaning of the event portrayed, no station contains more than two figures in addition to that of Our Lord."
